Produced only in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in the hilly area around the town of San Daniele, in the province of Udine.
The traditional local Friulian Red Breed Pig and the unique micro climate of the humid Adriatic and river valley air contrasting with the dry gentle mountain winds imparts unmatched flavor to the finished prosciutto.
Considered by many to be the finest prosciutto in the industry.
