January is National Soup Month and with colder weather it’s the perfect warm up food.
Soup has been traced back as far as 6000 B.C. where the early Greeks sold soup in their market places and streets. A simple broth back in those days, this comfort food has made it’s way back onto our tables and into our hearts and is known to many as bone broth. Back then it was served with a bread called sop, which has become “soup”.
When you visit the store check out our board for the soup of the day in our cafe. If you do not have time to stay, pick up some freshly made and frozen soup in our Freezer section. Our store shelves stock a variety of beans, tomatoes and pastas for those wanting to make their own. Or pick up some in a container to take home with you. #NationalSoupDay
