There’s nothing quite tastier than fresh fruits and vegetables picked at their peak and while in season.
With the holidays behind us, January and New Year resolutions in front of us, comes the opportunity to add more fruits and vegetables to our plates. Buying in season ensures you get the best of the best and enjoy the fruit or vegetable exactly as it is meant to to be eaten.
In Italy, fresh fruits and vegetables rotate monthly in stalls and markets as seasonal items are added. Eating seasonally in Italy means you’re eating fresh ingredients at the height of their flavor instead of using canned items or frozen.
We’ve decided to compile a list of seasonal fruits and vegetables found in markets all over Italy and in season each month. Many of these items you will find in our store based on availability.
